My Weekend in Vancouver

So I flew to Vancouver this weekend for the BCMEA (British Columbia Music Educators Association) Conference. It was a wirlwind of learning and fun. Most of the fun was not music related so here it goes:

Thursday:

I should have missed my flight but didn't. I arrived at the airport 10 minutes after my flight should have left. I was stuck in the stupidest line of construction traffic ever. I was in it for over an hour. Then after this, I was stuck behind the worlds crapiest driver ever. You know the ones "AHHHHH corner (slows down to snail speed), AHHHHHEEEEE passing lane (lets go 150 so no one can pass, AHHHHH corner after passing lane ends (go 50 km again). ERRRRRRR!!!!! But because I have a horshoe up my butt (or something to that effect) I made the flight.

Mom picked me up. I relaxed at the house for a bit. Anthony picked me up and we went to a movie. We saw Jackass 2: both freeking gross and freaking hilarious at the same time. Although the horse semen thing took it a little far. I also don't need to see consistant vomiting thanks. But I still enjoyed it. There is so no chemistry with Anthony. Its almost "laughatable". Dang for goodness sake he informed me he spend all last saturday watching the western channel...........NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Sorry but after you spend 3 christmas' watching every john wayne movie on the planet via the Western Channel......you'd be screaming NO too!

Friday:

Band Geeked it up all day. It was great. I got to see a bunch of people from UVic I went to school with. Some of my fav. people were there. We all went to the Rugby club for dinner and then to the honour concert. The dinner was really great. The company was awesome (thanks: Stevey T, Brent, Jenny and Angela). The Concert not so much. Although I enjoyed making fun of the MC with Jenny. My fav. moment was when the man was really close to being racist but didn't know. It was something to the effect of: The great thing about Canada is you can all sing in this choir even if you aren't even citizens of this country because you weren't born here". This was said to the Children Choir........owch.........The Concert Choir was good, but at times super pitchey actually thats what I would say all around.......pitchy pitchy pitchy...........again owch.

Saturday:

I got up extra early (for me) to go to this Jazz Improvize clinic.......It was call how to teach improvization better. But all it was: Some guy Improvized on his Sax for like an hour and then told us to buy his books.....errrrrrrrr
At lunch I ate with Mark (nuf said, If you really want more info about that you can email me) Angela saved me from that to introduce me to here daughter.......she is way cute! I love happy kids.......
Mom, Ann and I saw Body Worlds 3: That thing with the bodies that have been plasticated. WOW! That was sooooooooo cool! so so so so so cool.......honestly If you have a chance to see that......DO IT..............my fav part was the plasticated arteries and nervous system.......honestly.........there aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the awesomeness of that exibit......p.s. it will be at Science World until Jan.

Sunday:

I slept in until 9am. OOOOOOO.......for that weekend it was quite the feet. I went to the airport and flew home. And here I am......I have work tomorrow.......so I really should go to bed.......

g'nite.
