New and Not so New Music

So after some great recommendations; I decided to get some new music to update my IPod. Some of the recommendations were great........some not so much.

Here is my list of CD's you just have to listen to:

AFI - Decemberunderground

I was quite surprised by this one (thanks Jamie). I was completely expecting another sceamo album (not my favourite music genre), but much to my surprise this album is quite mellow for them. And most importantly I really like it.

Ben Folds - Rockin' The Suburbs

Jim recommended this to me. I was slightly skeptical as I wondered if a Computer teacher would have good music taste, But after listening to it.......well needless to say "It ROCKS!".......you will only agree with me if you love amazing piano riffs and sweet vocals. If not....Do NOT listen to it!

I also recommend his other newer album - Songs for Silverman if you are looking for something quite a bit more mellow.

The Dresden Dolls - Yes! Virginia

I LOVE The Dresden Dolls and their second commercial album does not dissapoint. Really If you like the Dresden Dolls as much as I do......their second album will only allow you to love them more. ( I am ever indebted to Jessica for introducing them to Brian so that Simone could introduce them to me :) )

The Format - Dog Problems

I found/discovered the CD by way of a "listeners also bought" search on amazon.com. If you like fun happy music.....then this is for you. I like it.....its kinda cute.....if you could call music cute......

Fort Minor - Rising Tied

I know this is a little out of character for me.......but I always liked Linkin Park (I don't care if you think that's blasphemy) and as a side project I'm pretty impressed. Admititly there are a few too many colaberations with rap artists here, but the overall effect is worth your while.

Guster - Ganging up on the Sun

The Indie sound has produced another gooder....such sweet melodies.....Its some beautiful music....I could try to compare them to so many groups out there right now. Just add a great band, then add piano.....ahhh lovely!

Justin Timberlake - future sex/love sounds

I shouldn't shouldn't shouldn't SHOULD NOT like this.......But I do..........I know I should feel embarassed right now.....and I do a little but not enough not to included it in the list.

Thom Yorke - The Eraser

I was beginning to wonder when Radiohead would release their next album. Well I guess Thom decided to go it alone....great CD very Radioheadish....just what I was expecting and wanted from him.

Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

The Dresden Dolls - The Dresden Dolls
The Fray - How to Save A Life

Ill let you know how it goes and possibly bring you back a t-shirt, probably wrapped around your diggery-doo, which you have to tell me how much you are willing to dish out for one, they rang from 50$(not recomended) to 5,000$(probably better then the 50 dollar one)

Also managed to grab AFI tickets for November 18th, unfortunatly they arent the mosh section which sold out in 2 minutes, so instead im a little ways back which is still lucky considering the rest of the tickets were sold with in the hour. Living near a major city is nice.

But heys!!!! laters
