Lost Season 3 Episode 5

Tonights episode like many this season so far takes us to several different story lines.
But one main thing happened and it was quite interesting.

The beach Crew: Tonight the focus is on Locke heading out to find the Pearl station as Desmon believes they can communicate with the computer system attached to each station. They want to communicate with the others in an attempt to get Jack, Kate and Sawyer back. Locke takes whom ever wants to go. It looks like we might be introduced to some new characters.

They find Echo and carry on their journey with him. They reach the Pearl and with the help of the new girl they find a way to watch another hatch......One they haven't seen before and the person inside is wearing an eye patch (another new character?).

Echo spends tonights episode in a number of states: Reality, Flashback and Dream sequences.

We learn what he did after he was returned to the village. There were some men trying to take his parishes vaccines. He makes a plan to corner the men and he ends up killing all three of them. All episode through his dream and flashbacks people tell him to repent his sins. The crazy black cloudlike thing makes another appearance. Echo spends the majority of the episode on a quest to find his brother.
At the end of the flashback sequence the mission woman tells him that he should go to london to start repenting his sins for he is responsible for each life he has taken and that he owes his brother a church.
In the end Echo chooses not to ask forgiveness of his sins but rather speaks of how he did the best he could with the life he was given.
But then the black thing makes anothe appearance and starts attacking Echo.
Locke and Sayeed hear a camotion and head after the sounds.
But it is too late............Echo dies in the attack.......he whispers "we're next" in Lockes ears just before he dies.

On the Jack side of things: Ben comes into his holding area and invites Jack on a walk, Jack tries to get Ben to admit that the tumor he saw in the x-ray belongs to Ben, but Ben says he knows nothing about that.
Ben also has Jack put on a full white outfit.
They go to a midnight funeral. The woman (colleen) is placed on a raft which is set out to sea and lit on fire.
Ben approaches Juliette and asks her why she showed Ben "his x-rays (so they are his as we all suspected). She says he saw them but didn't say who they belonged to......

Ben pleads with Jack to do the surgery........He said he was going to break him down to make him do the surgery, but now since he couldn't really since he had seen the x-rays he just pleaded with him to do it.

Juliette comes in. She wants to appologize to Jack.......she has a movie which she slides very close to the glass barrier. She says all these nice things about Ben.......but all the while there is a silent movie going on with her sliding large cue cards by the screen.....they say things like "Ben is a liar, He is very dangerous, do the surgery and make his death look like an accident, trust me and I will protect you, we are all ready for a change". Remember everthing that is said on the compound is recorded.

A very interesting night. I really wan't expecting the dark thing to get echo......and the "we're next" comment was interesting. We all knew that it was Ben's x-rays. The real question now is.........who is the evil/liar Juliette or Ben.......now we can all ponder that for a while.
I understand that there will only be one more episode for a while and then they are going to put the show on a break until Feb. So no doubt next weeks episode should be a good one.
