Episode 9.............

Episode 9:

There are three main things going on in this episode:

1. Kate and Sawyer
2. Jack’s Flashback
3. Jack in the present


1. Sawyer and Kate row the boat to shore. They spend this episode basically arguing about going back to get Jack. Sawyer says no and Kate says yes. Karl is also there, his issue is whether or not to try to go back and get Alex. Kate asks Karl some questions. From this we find out that the others only work on that island and they live on the same island that they are on right now. He also tells them they took the children to give them a better life. Sawyer finds Karl crying in the bushes. Through the conversation Sawyer tells Karl he should go back and get Alex. He then lets Karl go free. At this point Sawyer and Kate start making their way on foot to their camp.
2. In the Flashback we get to see Jack in Tialand. He spends some time with a local woman. She claims she has a gift. Jack follows her to a tattoo parlor. He is confused why her secret gift is as a tattoo artist. She informs him she is not a tattoo artist. She says she can see who people are. Her work is definition and she marks them. He asks for her to see who he is. She says she can’t because he is an outsider. She also tells him he is a leader and a great man, but because of this it makes him alone and angry. He forces her to give him a tattoo decribing this. She tells him there will be consequences. He says there always are. Jack comes out the next day and is beaten for his tattoo. He is told to leave the country and to never come back

3. In this episode Jack is moved from his glass enclosure outside to one of the polar bear cages. He is told that Juliette has been moved into that cell for she is in trouble. She killed Danny. This woman Isabelle comes out and asks Jack to come with her. She has some questions for him regarding the supposed plot to kill Ben. In this room, Jack denies that there ever was a plot and that he lied about the whole thing. Isabelle then asks why Jack is lieing for her. He just asks to go back to his cell.
Jack wakes up in the morning to see he is being watched. One of the flight attendants is there. She tells Jack she is going to go “watch”. He gets quite mad and tells her and sends them all away.
Alex comes out to talk to Jack. She asks why he decided to save her father. He says it was something he said he would do. Jack asks Alex where Juliette is. Her response is that she is in a trial and that they are very serious about someone killing one of their own “an eye for an eye”. Jack demands to see Ben.
Jack speaks with Ben and tells him unless the wounds from his stitches are taken care of he will never walk again. Ben asks at what price. Jack says he wants Juliette to be spared. Jack follow Alex to the trial room. Isabelle comes out and reads the note Ben wrote. It reads that Juliette is to be spared, but that he is also to be marked.
Juliette greets Jack a while later. She asks him why he helped her. He said it was so Ben could be true to his word. He also asks to see the mark. Jack is also told he will be taken to Ben’s home. As he reaches the beach, Isabelle tells him his tattoo says “he walks amongst us but he is not one of us”. Jack informs her that is what it says, but not what it means”.He gets on the boat that will take him to his new home.
