Jesus died for us = easter eggs and candy

Hi,

Happy Easter everyone!

Yu has finally moved in with me and was here for her first easter ever. My favourite question from her: Why a bunny? Bunnies don't lay eggs. Which as far as I'm concerned is a good question. Mostly because I really can't give you a straight answer to that one. None the less the Easter Bunny managed to make it to our hourse. On Saturday, we went snowboarding in Kimberly with Sue Cunningham and Kelsey Bjorkman. I think I need to start my ski season a little earlier than the last weekend next year.

We got to enjoy 2 different Easter Dinners:

The first was at the Cunninghams. It included regular fare ie. turkey and colouring hard boiled eggs with crayons and then dying them lots of cool colours. Our favorite of the night was Bobby's unicorn egg. Priceless trust me!

The second was an evening at the goforths. We got to search for candy in the yard. It was raining and therefore I was worried all the candy would get wet. Kieth's defence was that we would "feel the spirit more" if we did the hunt outside................

okay aside..........last easter during the hunt, Kieth grabbed an egg out of my hand......to which I replied..........."Jesus loves gluttons".

So this year my response was "Yes! We will feel the spirit more because Jesus dying on the cross for us mean hunting for easter candy". To which he gave me a simular look to last years comment.

Anyway, we ended up doing the hunt outside. I hid eggs this time and let Yu search. She did well and got almost all the Cadbury Creme Eggs and got $3.00. Karen found the $20 bill this year. We then ate Chicken, mashed potatoes and this delicious salad. There was also some easter egg colouring and we all ate too much chocolate.

So, it was a great weekend all around.

Hope everyone had as great a weekend as I did!!!!
