So.....................It's been awhile..................................why you ask?.....................................it's Facebook!
Yes, I joined.............................Yes, I said I wouldn't do it...........................................Yes, I crumbled to the pear pressure..............................and yes, I love it.
Addicted?...............................I'd say no, although I do check it daily like email and I find it completely convenient.
To my students out there, I won't add you until you graduation (unless of course I no longer teach you). I will gladly do it then, but not before, frankly I think its kinda creepy to add students and then have them show up on your friends list. Its wrong on so many levels (sorry!).
So in other news:
I went to Calgary for this long weekend and had the opportunity to do something I have never done before. I went to the Zoo! That's right! I had never been to the zoo before until this past weekend. I know some of you might wonder as how this might be possible, as I come from a family of a good background. I think it comes down to patience. If you know my parents: Could you honestly see them traipsing around at a zoo looking at all the exotic animal. I didn't think so!
If you don't know my parents I will put it into perspective for you:
My mom came with Ann/Ryan and I when we went to see the Body Worlds Exhibit. We (Ann and I) spend about an hour and a half taking in all the sights. My mom finished the whole exhibit in under 30 minutes. When we were discussing certain parts of the exhibit, she couldn't remember some of the main things. Mostly because she didn't have the patience to look at everything.
My father: If its not involving sports/fishing or work: he has about a 10 minute threshold for it. He once came to my music concert and commented: "They should serve beer and popcorn at these things. It would make the school some money and would make the second half way more interesting". This is my parents in a nutshell, so now try to picture them at a zoo.......................Yah...............that's what I thought..............................No chance in HELL!!!!
So anyways, I completely enjoyed it. Especially the Giraffes. Although I felt a little propaganda there with the whole: Educate, Conserve, Learn posters that were literally everywhere.I also got to have a Hay Day at the MEC. I bought a bunch of things for the upcoming KVR trip.
We also got to stay with and visit Kelsey and Sue. They ROCK!!! and were great hosts.
This weekend is the air cadet annual. I'm looking forward to it as well as air cadets being over till next year.
That about sums up the update, Until next time..............................
