Its a really good one...............Episode 17

We open with Desmond seeing a flashback: He, Charlie, Hurley and Jin are traveling through the bushes. Charlie and Hurley are arguing about the best super hero, it’s raining. Charlie steps on a line. It shoots an arrow into his neck. Charlie dies. Then we also see several flashes – Hurley finding a cable in the sand, Penny, a parachute, a light in the sky. Desmond comes back to reality.
He goes to Hurley and asks him to take him to the cable. Hurley figures out it is a flash and wonders why he wants to go. Desmond informs him someone is coming.
Desmond gathers a first aid kit and gets Hurley to help him get Charlie and Jin to come along on this adventure.
They all go on the adventure and just like in his original vision Hurley finds the cable. Desmond tells them they are going to Camp there.
Night arrives; Desmond spends his time looking at the picture of him and Penny. All of a sudden they hear a helicopter overhead. It splashes into the water. Then in the sky they see a red light (just like in Desmond's flash). After some argument they all agree to go in search of who ejected from the Helicopter.
That morning they walk through the bush. Then the scene Desmond most vividly remembered starts happening. Its raining, Hurley and Charlie are arguing over the best superhero and then Charlie steps on the wire. Desmond reaches out and knocks Charlie out of the way. Desmond 4, death to Charlie 0.
They go on and find a parachuter. They get the parachuter down. In the pocket is a picture of Desmond with Penny. They take off the mask………….It’s not Penny. It’s someone else. NEW CHARACTER!!!!!


The Real Flashback:

Desmond is a monk.
He is bottling wine. The Monks bottle the wine and then use the money for charity. A man comes in and punches Desmond in the face.
Desmond goes to a house. He talks to a woman named Ruth. He apparently bailed on the wedding and disappeared. She calls him a coward and tells him in the future to just tell the girl he is too scared to get married.
Desmond is back at the Monastery. He is drinking a bottle of the wine. The Head Monk gets mad. They only bottled 108 bottles and each bottle gets 100 quid a piece (I’m guessing that’s a lot, cause I have no Idea how much that really is). The Head Monk fires Desmond.
There is a woman who has come to pick up 10 cases of wine. She offers to give Desmond a ride to town. The woman is Penny. I guess now we know how they met.

On another part of the beach:

There is some crazy tension between the whole Kate/Sawyer/Jack love triangles. Most of this tension is because of Kate’s Jealousy of Juliette and Jacks relationship.
