Here's some information that may help some of you in the future:

When purchasing a used vehicle (that may or may not cost 8 grand):

Pre-Purchase:

- Make sure it has all the appropriate working parts.
- take the vehicle for a test drive.
- Do a background check to be sure its not stolen.
- Be sure it can be insured.

Post-Purchase (in case you happen to miss above steps and purchase anyways):

- Be sure to remove all important parts that can be salvaged for before you take a/several sledgehammer(s) to it.
- While sledgehammering watch out that you don't injure yourself

and lastly and most definatly most importantly if all else fails:

- Don't be a dumbass!!!!
