So,
I have started this new quest. I'm testing out a goal for 2010. Yes, that's right! A goal! As opposed to a New Year's resolution; because we all know how I feel about those....(see Goals for 2009 and read the first paragraph). So anyways. My goal is to eat dinner at home as regularly as possible. So far, I think I have been successful. I'm not the type that packs a lunch. I do regularly eat at the school's cafeteria (it's good and healthy, so don't worry), and I sometimes manage to eat breakfast at home, but I also eat at school because we have to be there so dang early (at 7:45am at the latest, but I try to get there for 7:30am and I'm not a morning person, just so you know...). So dinners it is. I'm not going to avoid social functions because the dinner is out, and I'm not going to rush home on nights when I have to be at work late either, but I am trying to make an active effort to eat things from my fridge and food storage.
Tonight I made a baked Yam. It consists of the following ingredients: a Yam; baked in the microwave, topped with salsa, tuna and melted cheddar. It's very yummy and I am enjoying every minute of it.
I hope to also post what I am making. Perhaps some of you single people out there might enjoy hearing about what I have made. I find it so difficult to cook for one and any recipe suggestions (within reason) will be tried out.
Okay, so that is about it. Wish me luck, I may need it.
