So this was the famous flea market. Most of the stuff inside was more expensive than you could pay in other places. In any case it is quite something to go into. I never found the stairs to the second level, but I then remembered that you can see pretty see everything that is for sale by about the third shop.
It was here that we some of us "practiced" our spanish, with several different interpretations for the word "box".
So, my Mom and I paid for a city tour. It was really fun (well not the pricey lunch so much!)We got to see the following things:
A Tequila Making factory.........they made all the tequila without the use of any electricity. They even distilled it all old school.
We got to taste some of this said tequila. And I soon found out I am allergic to tequila (seriously thou........Im not talking drunk here...........my hands and feel got all rashy and swollen about 5 minutes after the taste testing, not to mention it felt like my nose would explode)
We stopped at some rest stop to look at this "famous resort" and this guy with an iguana put it on my shoulders........way cool!!!!
My mom and I at another stop. They said they filmed some movie on this island, I had never heard of the movie and neither had anyone on the bus under the age of 54
It was this sand castle building day on the board walk.............soooooooo amazing.......what talent.
Also along the boardwalk is some more permanent art. And it is definitly original. As Megan requested, here I am posing with 2 of the statues.
